Recommended travel points
Costa Rica is one of the most biodiverse countries on Earth.
With this plan, you'll fully experience Costa Rica's unique natural wonders: cloud forests alive with colorful birds, rainforests home to diverse wildlife, the forefront of conservation efforts, and natural hot spring resorts.
Your journey begins in San Gerardo de Dota.
This area is famous as the habitat of the elusive bird known as the "Quetzal."
A morning walk with a local guide in the tranquil, high-altitude cloud forests searching for quetzals is a truly special experience.
Enjoying breakfast while watching wild birds at a forest restaurant is also an exceptional treat.
Manuel Antonio, a resort on the Pacific coast, is a treasure trove of flora and fauna.
Encounters with a variety of wildlife await you, including sloths, coatis, toucans, and squirrel monkeys.
You'll also visit the KSTR Wildlife Sanctuary, which focuses on wildlife protection and reintroduction, and learn about the importance of animal conservation.
The Sarapiquí Nature Reserve is a paradise for colorful creatures.
Together with your guide, you'll search for and observe creatures that seem to have leapt from the pages of a storybook, such as the iconic red-eyed tree frog, poison dart frogs, hummingbirds, and the rare white bat.
A chocolate-making experience using cacao grown in the reserve is also available.
You can also savor the blessings of nature through your sense of taste.
Toward the end of your journey, you'll visit Tabacón Hot Springs, one of Costa Rica's premier hot spring destinations.
Relax your mind and body in natural hot springs bubbling up in the heart of the jungle.
You won't just "see"—you'll connect with the lives of plants and animals, experience the importance of environmental conservation, and reflect on ways to live in harmony with nature.
Why not immerse yourself in the great outdoors of Costa Rica and embark on a healing journey filled with encounters with wildlife in this tropical paradise?

Travel agency license Confirmed Service area Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil place of residence Costa Rica Languages Spoken Japanese, English, Spanish, Portuguese I've loved nature and wildlife since I was a child, and that passion eventually led me to work in the tourism industry in Costa Rica, Central America. My specialty is nature and animals, but I also have a deep appreciation for the culture and history of Latin America, and I hope to share those aspects with you as well. Since information about Latin America can be hard to come by and planning a trip can be challenging, I strive to provide as much detailed information as possible to help you create a journey that will become a lifelong memory. During the tours, even in the sometimes inconvenient environments of Latin America, I will do my utmost to assist you so that you can enjoy a safe, secure, and comfortable trip. -

I have visited over 60 countries, mainly in Central and South America, through tourism for Japanese people and overseas photography coordination. Although I relocated my base to Japan in March 2020, I continue to guide Japanese customers to places not typically visited on regular tours, such as the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia, primarily for wildlife observation and remote tours.
