Desert Boys: A Stunning Café in the Indian Desert

Jaisalmer is a city located in the state of Rajasthan in northwestern India.
This area is largely covered by desert and is known for its many yellow buildings, earning it the nickname 'The Golden City.'

Jaisalmer Fort, perched atop a hill in Jaisalmer, is a major tourist attraction in the area.
Let me introduce a highly recommended café in the castle town.

On this day, I visited Jaisalmer Fort and was strolling through the castle town.
The castle town of Jaisalmer Fort itself is lined with yellow buildings and has a wonderful atmosphere, but among them, I discovered a shop with an especially eye-catching exterior!
I casually asked the guide who brought me, 'Is it okay if we go in here?' and entered the café.

The interior was beautifully decorated in yellow and had a great atmosphere. Personally, it reminded me more of Central or South America than India.
I went in without any prior information, just on a whim, but as I walked through the café and approached a window seat, an incredible view unfolded before my eyes.

What came into view was Jaisalmer Fort and the cityscape of Jaisalmer!
Enjoying a relaxing café time while gazing at the breathtaking scenery is simply the best.
This was truly what you would call 'Instagram-worthy.'

The other customers were either locals or Western travelers, but all the seats with a good view were fully occupied.
Since I had already had lunch that day, I just relaxed with a cup of chai at a seat with a partial view, but it still felt incredibly elegant.

The blue sky, yellow buildings, and comfortable temperatures all come together to make this an absolutely wonderful place.
Honestly, this café was so amazing that it would be worth visiting Jaisalmer Palace just to come here!

Apparently, there are several other restaurants with great views in this area, so if this place is full, you can ask your guide to find another one.
By the way, the business hours are Open from late August to March 15; closed during other times due to the heat. At least, that's what I think they said...

It seems they also run a guesthouse here. If you can enjoy the night view, I'd love to stay overnight!
