Review of Turkey

plane Türkiye

Thank you for the comprehensive support!

Initially, we only had a vague wish to 'visit Turkey and Egypt for about 10 days,' but you organized a wonderful tour for us.
Before departure, despite our scattered questions and requests, you responded promptly and courteously each time, and incorporated our wishes thoroughly. Thank you!
I truly appreciate the comprehensive support.

The following are the details of Turkey.
Guides;
Both guides in Cappadocia and Istanbul were excellent.
If I were to rate them on a 5-point scale, both would get a 5.
Their Japanese was flawless, and the amount of knowledge, the content they shared, and their answers to our questions were all clear. They taught us so much.
In particular, when my friend's suitcase was damaged (two wheels were lost) during the Cappadocia-Istanbul leg, the guide immediately stepped in to see if there was anything they could do at the airport. Additionally, when we were heading from Istanbul to Cairo, they spoke to the airport staff on our behalf, explaining that the luggage was damaged.
They also proactively gave us advice, such as, "Tomorrow's temperature will be XX degrees, but it will likely feel colder, so make sure to dress warmly," and "When in Egypt, absolutely avoid eating raw vegetables or fruits, and use mineral water even for brushing your teeth." They smoothly accommodated many of our various requests, were kind, and were simply perfect.
The only minor issue was that their perfume was a bit strong for us Japanese, which made the car ride slightly uncomfortable. However, they had a lovely smile and were charming, teaching us many things about Cappadocia.
If my friends were to visit Turkey, I would definitely recommend these two guides. If they ever come to Japan, I would love to meet them again.

Hotels;
Mithra Cave: The hotel staff were all polite and kind. Right in front of our room, there was a terrace-like space (though it was a smoking area), and on the backup day for the hot air balloons, we had it all to ourselves to watch the balloons rise into the sky.
The room was warm enough, but the hairdryer had very weak airflow, so I gave up drying my hair properly before it was even half-dry.
Overall, it was a cute and nice hotel.

Sura Hagia Sophia Hotel: It was a clean hotel with colorful and cute decor. However, water was gushing out from the middle of the shower hose, leaving the toilet soaking wet. Also, when we requested a replacement for the kettle, as it wasn't working, they did not provide one.
But, well, I think that's just how overseas hotels are. Overall, it was a clean and good hotel.

I love traveling! While my friends were investing in buying houses, nice cars, and other luxury possessions, I have been traveling all along. Through years of experience, I have continuously thought about what tourists want and what they can enjoy. I must admit that Turkey is a wonderful tourist destination. You can find everything you desire: culture, history, nature, unique cuisine, all kinds of climates. During my university days, I adventured in many places centered around Turkey, and to leverage my passion and experience for travel, I decided to use my experience to offer better tours to travelers coming to Turkey. I will propose the best plan, so please consult me.

What kind of country is Türkiye?

The Republic of Turkey, which straddles the Asian and European continents, is called the "bridge between Asia and Europe".

The Anatolian Peninsula at the western tip of Asia, which occupies most of the country's territory, is known as the "cradle of humanity". Since the Paleolithic era, there have been 18 civilizations, including the Hittites who used iron tools, Phrygia that flourished after the fall of the Hittites, ancient Greece, the Roman Empire, and the Ottoman Empire, and it is a land that has seen the evolution and history of mankind.

Enjoy the historic intersection of Western and Asian cultures in Istanbul, admire the rock formations of Cappadocia from a balloon, indulge in Turkish cuisine, which has been selected as one of the world's top three cuisines, and shop for world-renowned crafts such as carpets and lamps.

Discover your "want to do" journey in Turkey, where nature, historical sites, culture, food, dance, crafts and possibilities are endless.

    Cash, cards and currency exchange
It is recommended to use both card and cash.
・In Turkey, in addition to the Turkish lira, which is the local currency, US dollars, euros, and Japan yen can be used depending on the location. The exchange rate for Turkish lira in Japan is not good, so be sure to use the local airport or currency exchange office in the city to exchange money.
There are many stores where credit cards can be used, so make sure to actively use your card at places that accept it. However, small independent shops and taxis may not accept cards, so it's essential to have cash ready.
    Tips
In Turkey, there is a tipping culture. Generally, it is common to tip around 10% of the total amount at restaurants. Tips are also given to hotel porters and taxi drivers. However, the amount is just a guideline, so give a tip that matches the service you received when you feel you have received good service.
    Public order
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, most areas in Turkey are considered to have the lowest security alert level, making Turkey generally a safe country.
Compared to Japan, it cannot be said that the security is better, so caution is needed against petty crimes like pickpocketing and theft. Especially in urban areas with many tourists, airports, stations, trains, and restaurants, there is a tendency for such crimes to occur frequently, so please be careful.
    clothing
In mosques, women are required to wear a scarf to cover their hair and skin. If you forget, there are some available for loan, but since the number is limited and the hygiene condition is unknown, it is reassuring to bring your own scarf.
    Things you should bring
Stomach medicine, cold medicine, mobile battery, tissues, wet tissues, insect repellent, sun protection items, etc.
    Visa availability and arrangements
Japanese nationals do not need to obtain a visa for short stays of up to 90 days for purposes such as tourism, business, or official duties.
However, a stay exceeding a total of 90 days within a 180-day period is not permitted.
Additionally, a passport with more than 150 days remaining validity is required upon entry.
    Required vaccinations
There are no mandatory requirements for travel. However, vaccinations for hepatitis A, hepatitis B, tetanus, typhoid, rabies, and influenza are recommended.
