• Day 1

  

  Addis Ababa

  Arrive at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
  Transfer to the hotel by private car.
  
  Then, enjoy a tour of Addis Ababa.
  The capital, located at an altitude of 2,400 meters, features a striking contrast of skyscrapers alongside rows of cardboard shacks, creating a captivating scene.
  Visit traditional markets, historical monuments, and the National Museum, which houses 'Lucy' (Australopithecus).

  Addis Ababa → Awash National Park

  Travel by private vehicle to Awash National Park.
  Ethiopia's oldest national park is a treasure trove of rich flora and fauna.
  Drive through the Awash River waterfalls and bushlands to observe various wildlife such as kudu, gazelles, and oryx.

• Day 3

  

  Awash National Park → Semera

  Breakfast at the hotel.
  
  Travel by private vehicle to Semera, the gateway to the Danakil (Afar) desert region.

• Day 4

  

  Semera → Elta Ale

  Breakfast at the hotel.
  
  In the morning, proceed to Lake Afdera.
  Travel through oases and Afar villages to reach the salt lake.
  
  Then, proceed to Erta Ale, an active volcano at an altitude of 613 meters.
  Witness one of the world's few continuously active lava lakes, where glowing red lava flows can be seen.
  
  Accommodation will be in a simple shelter set up a short distance from the crater or outdoors on a mattress, offering a wild overnight experience.

• Day 5

  

  Erta Ale → Hamed Ela → Lake Assal → Hamed Ela

  After observing early morning volcanic activity, travel via Hamed Ela to Lake Assal in Djibouti.
  It is one of the saltiest lakes in the world, and salt bars harvested here were once used as currency.
  You can observe the Afar people diligently harvesting salt.

• Day 6

  

  Lake Assal → Dallol Volcano → Hawzen

  Early morning visit to Dallol volcano.
  
  It is one of the most extreme and unique landscapes on Earth, characterized by vivid terrain created by volcanic activity and salt deposits.
  Afterward, have breakfast and head to Hawzen in the Tigray Highlands.

  Hawzen → Gheralta Mountains → Hawzen

  Enjoy the views from the summit and visit the Mariam Korkor Church and Abuna Yemata Church, which stand in the sky.

  Hawzen → Yeha Village → Axum

  While enjoying the picturesque scenery of the Gheralta mountain range, head to Yeha Village at the foot of the Adwa Mountains.
  Built around 700 BCE by immigrants from southern Arabia, this village is home to the Temple of the Moon, the oldest pre-Axumite Kingdom ruin, constructed without the use of mortar.
