This four-day itinerary is designed to let you fully enjoy Nepal’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

One day includes a roughly 16 km hike from Nagarkot (2,175m) to Dhulikhel (1,550m), where you can experience traditional villages, terraced fields, and lush forests.
This is one of the popular routes for enjoying Nepal’s nature and the stunning vistas of the Himalayas.

Additionally, on the first day, you’ll stop by the ancient city of Bhaktapur to visit attractions like the 55-Window Palace and various temples, while the day after the hike is reserved for a full day of sightseeing in Kathmandu.

Itinerary details

  • Day 1

    The Scenery at Nagarkot

    Arrival in Kathmandu → Bhaktapur → Nagarkot

    After arriving at Kathmandu Airport, meet your guide and travel by car to Bhaktapur (approximately 45 minutes).

    Explore the ancient city renowned for its medieval architecture and rich culture, visiting key sites such as the 55-Window Palace, Vatsala Temple, Nyatapola Temple, and the Pottery Square.

    Then, travel by car to Nagarkot, which is about a 30-minute drive away.
    Nagarkot is a popular hill station known for its stunning mountain vistas and tranquil atmosphere. You can watch the Himalayas bathed in the glow of sunset, and on clear days, admire majestic peaks including Everest.

  • Day 2

    A Restaurant in Dhulikhel

    Nagarkot → Dhulikhel

    Rise early to witness a magnificent sunrise over the Himalayas, and after breakfast (at 8:00 AM), set out on a hike from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel. This roughly 16 km trek usually takes about 5 to 6 hours.

    During this hike, you’ll enjoy views of terraced fields, lush forests, and traditional villages, offering a genuine experience of Nepal’s rural life.

    The destination, Dhulikhel, is a culturally and historically significant area that also boasts spectacular views of the Himalayas.

  • Day 3

    Durbar Square in Kathmandu, Nepal

    Return to Kathmandu for sightseeing

    After breakfast at the hotel, depart by car for Kathmandu at 8:00 AM; the drive takes roughly 1 hour.

    Upon arriving in Kathmandu, enjoy a city tour.
    • Swayambhunath (commonly known as the Monkey Temple)
    • Kathmandu Durbar Square (featuring the old palace and temple complex)
    • Pashupatinath Temple (a Hindu temple)
    • Boudhanath Stupa (the largest Buddhist stupa)

    After the tour, return to your hotel for accommodation.
