Travel story
To animals whose names I didn’t know
To trees I had never seen
There was a gentle distance to all of them

-
This itinerary is a six-day trip starting from Antananarivo, visiting Morondava and Kirindy in the west.
You will enjoy the baobab-lined landscape at sunrise and sunset, and observe rare flora and fauna in the Kirindy Reserve.
Although the travel distances are long, the program is centered on nature and scenery.
Signature points
Sunrise and sunset scenes along the baobab avenue
Visit the baobab-lined avenue, a symbol of western Madagascar, at both dusk and sunrise. Experience the contrasting play of light and shadow depending on the time of day.
Observing the unique ecosystem of Kirindy Reserve
Walk through the reserve surrounded by dry forest with an expert guide and observe endemic species up close, including lemurs, ring-tailed lemurs, and reptiles. Night walks are also available.
The journey itself becomes the scenery: red dirt roads
The trip from Antananarivo to Morondava is long and includes many unpaved roads, but the red earth and village views from the vehicle window reflect Madagascar’s rustic daily life.
